Barrel Racing

Barrel racing is a popular timed rodeo event, especially among women. The event requires athletic horses and dedicated riders. The most common barrel racing pattern is the clover leaf pattern, and the event requires the coordination of the horse's athletic ability and the rider's superb horsemanship skill.

Horses can range from all different breeds to compete in this event. the pattern usually starts at the start/finish line and goes to the right for the first barrel. once he or she rounds that barrel the person will turn left and round the barrel straight across from the person. DO NOT GO UP! now once you go around that barrel you do go up and round that barrel. then you race our horse down in a straight line past the finish line. try a sliding stop but not to soon, for most horses cannot do it!!!!www.barrelracingclinic.com/graphics/barrelpatterns.gif!!!!!!!!!!! do nt add the !!! points.
