Altar Real Horse

The Altar Real is a native Baroque horse of Portugal, closely related to the Lusitano. They usually stand at 15-16 hands high, and primarily come in bay, brown, grey, or occasionally chestnut. They have necks which are arched, muscular, strong, and usually carried high. These horses are known for being intelligent and high-strung.
